I Love Red Flowers

February 16, 2009 by Leslie (LadyMin)

Because I am very tired of winter gloom and the endless lack of colors, here’s a picture I shot a few summers ago of a red hibiscus at Cantigny Gardens. Red would be my favorite flower color. Cantigny is one of my favorite gardens.

I admit, I feel sorry for people in the North right about now. That is a lovely hibiscus. I can’t wait for them to beginning blooming here in the deep South.

Although I do bring a few flowering plants inside for the winter, it’s not the same as having them out in the yard. I’m envious of the longer growing season in the south. It seems like the cold weather here lasts forever.

And here I thought ‘red’ was your fave shoe color! ;)

    Nice flower but. :D

I just got a new pair of red gardening gloves. Can’t have too much red stuff. :)
